This project’s theme incorporates steel racks finished in black (ebony), polished stainless steel and concrete. The rack’s shelves are finished with Ziricote high-gloss wood veneer. My favorite visual aspect of the project is the way the polished elements contrast with the raw concrete ‘slit wall’. The ‘slit wall’ was constructed by pouring concrete directly into the excavation in the ground, leaving the negative image of the ground visible on its surface.
This project was carried out for Arek Likus, who was also involved – especially in the selection of materials. Thank you very much for the cooperation of Arek, Ms. Joanna, Mr. Andrzej, Mr. Grzegorz (master in everythingelectrical), Janusz, and all the workers. I forgive all time-outs, although they cost me many sleepless nights.
